TWO-LEVEL OPERATIONS & STAFF FACILITY – HORSESHOE BAY FERRY TERMINAL

Custom Cubes designed and manufactured a fully custom, two-level container building for the Horseshoe Bay Ferry Terminal, supporting daily ferry operations in a high-traffic marine environment.

The upper-level functions as a full-visibility watch tower, providing operators with clear sightlines across the terminal to support vessel movements, traffic coordination, and overall site safety. Large, panoramic windows were incorporated to maximize visibility while maintaining a compact, efficient footprint.

The lower level houses a staff lunchroom and washroom facilities, delivering a comfortable, climate-controlled space for terminal personnel. This level was fully outfitted with plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and interior finishes suitable for year-round operation in a coastal environment.

To support servicing requirements, the project also included a 20’ utility container dedicated to fresh water and wastewater systems, allowing the building to operate independently while meeting site and regulatory requirements.

The entire structure was fully engineered, permitted, and CSA-A277 certified, ensuring compliance with applicable building codes and public-sector standards. Designed for durability, longevity, and operational efficiency, this project demonstrates Custom Cubes’ ability to deliver certified, multi-level container solutions for critical infrastructure and transportation facilities.
